Crystal biscuit vase on a silver base 84 samples Brothers Grachev 1896. It stylizes the maritime theme of the pier, including a mooring pedestal and mooring rings. Combines the tenderness of glass and the engineering efficiency of the metal. The oval shape of the glass adds a noble appearance.

Hallmarks: 84 samples with the emblem of the city of St. Petersburg Two anchors and a scepter” with the initials of the assay master A.Sh.” above date 1896, 84 samples with the coat of arms of the city of St. Petersburg located in the shoulder blade of the Brothers Grachev firm under a two-headed eagle. Additional hallmarks: three crowns in an oval”, letter S” in a rhombus correspond to the hallmarks of the period from 1912 on silver items imported (imported) to Sweden.

GRACHEV BROTHERS FIRM
The Grachev Brothers Firm was one of the leading silver and jewellery workshops in Saint Petersburg during the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. From the 1870s it held the title of Purveyor to the Imperial Court. The workshop gained renown for its virtuoso cloisonné enamel work, refined synthesis of Russian Style and Russian Modern, and the high artistic quality of its ceremonial silverware.
