A large magnificent silver Kovsh by P. Ovchinnikov with stained glass and cloisonne enamels. An epic pantomime about a fabulous pond unfolds along the walls of the ladle, where a swan swims in the thick of flowering water lilies and thickets. The majestic image is borrowed from pre-Petrine drawings and symbolizes proud beauty and devotion. At the bottom of the bucket, where it should be, there is a cancer.
